PLASMA DECOATING

The reactivity of gases can be extremely enhanced by thermal exciting or generated PLASMA in that way that they can also react with usually chemically inert reacting metallic or ceramic surfaces like PVD/ CVD coatings. Among their high and selective reactivity gases includes the unbeatable advantage that surface only gets in contact with smooth gas molecules than with permanent contact of aggressive solutions or fluids during DECOATING process, even in case of - wished or not - non-coated holes and shaded areas.

The gaseous metabolites arising from decoating reaction are withdrawn permanentely out of system by vacuum pump which moves the equilibrity of decoating reaction benefically towards DECOATING reaction. By this way the coating is removed layer by layer until substrate´s surface appears.

For each substrate/ coating the selectivity of DECOATING process can be adjusted easily by choice of gases and their combinations.

Thermal aspects of sensitive materials (melting-/ weakness points, heat treatment limits) are simply considered always by adjustable temperature control during DECOATING process.

Afte accomplished decoating one can simply discharge all decoated goods from recipient and prepare them directly for shipment back to customer - a further cleaning or other kinds of reworking are not efforted due to the cleaning effect of PLASMA at the same time.

All advantages of this specific way of DECOATING are significant:

  • extremely low expenses for DECOATING process
  • unlimited application for all kinds of substrates and coatings
  • remarkable increase of DECOATING quality due to "contactless" process with high reproductivity and safety by program control
  • rapid availability of DECOATING results due to short process time
  • perfect environmental balance cause no expenses for waisted DECAOTING bathes
